Jay Nugent's Family

The following pictures were scanned in as .TIF files through the Black & White scanner on my Hewlett-Packard (HP5L) OfficeJet LX Printer/ FAX/Scanner/Copier. The .TIF files were then resized and converted to .GIF format to reduce their size and make them compatible with most browsers. It's only 200 dots per inch and Black&White, but better than nothing at all...

This picture was taken in 1991 when all three of us 'kids' and the 'grandkids' went out to Las Vegas to visit my parents. That's me in the top left, my brother Mike and my sister Nancy. The girl in front of Mike is his daughter Shannon. The two young boys are my sisters kids, Bryan (the baby) and Christopher.

This picture is of my Mom and my niece, Shannon. It was taken shortly before my folks moved from Monroe, Michigan to Tucson and I moved to Ann Arbor.

Now the very same pictures scanned in 30-bit color on my new Cacham Splendeur 3024 Color Flatbed Scanner. It is SCSI attached to my 486 and working with SCSI has been a royal 'PITA'!!! I think the cable is not terminated like it should be...

Bummer... the size of the mom-shan.jpg is so big that I run out of memory when running xv in an attempt to make it small enough to fit on a web page...
