My life has been spent fascinated with technology - understanding it, and finding ways to use it appropriately, responsibly, in harmony with the earth and its other inhabitants. I am most interested in technology which enables us to better communicate with each other, whether that be a faster, clearer radio channel, or a better understanding of the personal style and subtle language and protocol differences of the communicators.

• The Sandhill Soaring Club. A group of ninety or so who work together to have fun and teach newcomers how to fly. Organized as a non-profit educational organization.
• The Southeast Michigan Soaring Association, A Michigan Corportion formed to purchase, maintain, and develop a permanent site for Soaring in Southeast michigan. We are doing exactly that with Richmond Airport (69G) near Gregory, Michigan.

• The Human Awareness Institute Dedicated to creating a world where everyone wins, by replacing ignorance and fear with awareness and love.

• The Computer Measurement Group, an organization of professionals dedicated to getting the most out of a computer system.
• Merrill Associates Dr Barry Merrill, PhD. is probably the world's foremost expert on the tuning and management of IBM MVS systems, as well as a leading authority on performance tuning and capacity planning in general.
• The National Systems Programmers Association, an organization of large-system systems programmers.
• The Michigan! Users Group An organization of professionals dedicated to sharing information and enhancing their skills in managing, maintaining, and exploiting the capabilities of UNIX-like operating systems.
• Washtenaw Linux Users Group, a local organization for the support and dissemination of information about the Linux operating system.
